Water Bungalow : Rising on stilts above the placid waters of the lagoon, with views that stretch across the sea, Water Bungalows offer an atmosphere of delightful seclusion. Stunningly redesigned interiors step out to a private sundeck with stairs leading down to the turquoise lagoon. Water Bungalows offer a 39-square-metre (420-square-foot) sundeck. Steps lead down to the lagoon - a natural swimming pool - and a sea-level swim platform with outdoor swim shower. The sundeck is furnished with two chaises longues and a table and chairs for alfresco dining. In each bungalow, an entrance foyer leads to generously proportioned quarters, where picture windows frame unobstructed views of the ocean - from the comfortable seating as well as the pillow-like bed. Surrounded by a large sun deck, it features chaises longues for comfortable lounging. Attendants are ready to provide a fresh towel or a cooling spritz of mist. Spa : Sail in a wooden dhoni (traditional Maldivian boat) across the lagoon to the island. Yoga Pavilion : An open-air yoga and meditation platform faces the boundless ocean, inspiring those who practise the ancient ritual to find mental, physical and emotional balance. The Resort's resident yogi invites you to private training sessions.
Café Huraa : An open-sided Maldivian-style thatched-roof pavilion facing the free-form swimming pool and lagoon, Café Huraa offers indoor and outdoor dining in an exotic tropical setting. A sumptuous breakfast buffet has something for everyone - fresh tropical fruits and juices, cereals, homemade breads, grilled meats and vegetables and a made-to-order omelette station. The lunch menu offers a generous mix of popular dishes from East and West, featuring crisp salads, tasty sandwiches and a variety of innovative and creative meat and seafood choices. Dinner at Café Huraa is a fun experience. Every evening, guests can enjoy family-style Asian fare featuring a taste of traditional curries, wok-prepared noodles and fresh vegetables, as well as a selection of mouth-watering seafoods. An exclusive wine cellar offers fine wines from around the world. Seats 80 indoors, 24 outdoors. Adjacent to the restaurant is Huraa Barbecue, the ideal place to savour grilled seafood and succulent meat. Relax outdoors and select a freshly caught fish or lobster from the island dhoni, then watch Four Seasons chefs grill it to perfection. All dinners are accompanied by an extensive selection of homemade sauces and tasty side dishes. Theme dinner celebrations are presented two nights a week. A children's menu is also available.
Baraabaru : An elegant dinner at Baraabaru is a memorable affair. Guests may choose to dine in the restaurant's brightly coloured interiors, on the spectacular deck above the waters or in a private dining gazebo. The open kitchen features an open tandoori bar, where guests can watch as the chefs prepare fine Indian cuisine. The food is complemented by a wine list chosen to suit the tropics, with an emphasis on light wines and champagnes. Seats 48 indoors, 40 outdoors, 5 at the tandoori bar and 4 in the gazebo. The menu, which focuses on fine Indian cuisine, delivers a diverse selection of fresh local seafood, rice biriyanis (a flavourful Indian specialty served in a clay pot) and traditional Indian specialties. Poolside Terrace Bar : The Poolside Bar, built into the main swimming pool, is a popular place to celebrate an invigorating dive or simply relax in the warmth of the midday sun. Tropical drinks and a light snack menu are available throughout the day.
In-Bungalow Dining : In-Bungalow Dining at Four Seasons is a fine-dining experience within the comfort and convenience of your bungalow, villa or suite. Choose from an extensive menu throughout the day, featuring western and Asian favourites.
Recreation
Diving : Maldives is known internationally as one of the world's best dive destinations. A large number of excellent dive sites, including marine-protected sites, are located near the Resort and transfers are carried out by specially equipped dive dhonis. The Resort operates its own PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)-licensed Dive Centre. A multi-lingual team of dive instructors offer courses for beginners and advanced divers, as well as lead daily dive trips. Underwater photography and videography services are also available.Surfing : An accredited Tropicsurf instructor is available to assist with all your surfing needs.
Water Sports : Complimentary snorkels, masks, fins and non-motorised water sports equipment, such as sailboats, catamarans and state-of-the-art windsurfing gear, are available at the water sports centre. Motorised water sports equipment is available for rental, and a Dive Shop is open daily from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for the convenience of guests who may wish to purchase equipment or accessories.
Sunset fishing : A fishing rod and some bait are all you need to participate in the sunset fishing experience. Catch one if you can, and our chefs will be delighted to prepare it to your liking. The excursion takes about 2 hours by dhoni.
Snorkelling excursion : Cruise by dhoni to a nearby coral reef and explore the underwater world with our resident marine biologist. On the way back, enjoy afternoon tea at sea while engaging in a fish talk with our marine expert. The excursion takes about 1.5 hours by dhoni.
Big game fishing : Reel in a big tuna, sailfish or mahi mahi from the 16.7-metre (55-foot) High Flyer, a sport fishing boat specially designed for big game fishing on the high seas. Unmatched by any other boat in the area, the luxuriously furnished High Flyer features an 81-centimetre (32-inch) flat-screen television, surround-sound MP3 music system and other advanced amenities. Set lunches are served on board. Guests may choose a full-day (eight-hour), or half-day (four-hour) charter package.
Robinson Crusoe adventure by seaplane : Imagine spending a day on a deserted, palm-fringed tropical island with family or friends. From Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, take a seaplane to our private island of Meerufenfushi in North Ari Atoll. This small, postcard-perfect island is surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and a shallow, sandy lagoon. As our staff prepares a barbecue, you may snorkel, relax or stroll around the island in total privacy. At the end of the day, the seaplane will fly you back to Kuda Huraa in time for your evening meal.
Island-hopping : The Maldives' 1,190 islands feature countless sandbanks and reef tops where you can enjoy unlimited land or sea activities - snorkel at isolated reefs, visit traditional Maldivian villages or relax in private on a deserted sandbank. Our 16.7-metre (55-foot) luxury sports cruiser, Landaa Summer, allows you to island-hop in comfort. Its easy sea access makes for effortless snorkelling or swimming from the back of the boat, while the air-conditioned salon with flat-screen television provides comfortable relaxation in the heat of the day. Set lunches are served on board.
Seaplane photo flight : From 457 metres (1,500 feet) in the air, you will have a whole new perspective on the Maldives. Savour the views of miles and miles of islands, lagoons and calm azure waters during this 20-minute flight, and take advantage of limitless photo opportunities. Seaplanes may be chartered privately.
Baraabaru cooking class : This cooking class will take you on a short journey through the rich culinary heritage of India and the Maldives. It's fun, casual and lunch is included.
Island picnics : A private cruiser takes you across the atoll for a picnic on a small island or a sliver of sand, lost in an azure sea - the perfect setting for a romantic celebration or a family day out. Snorkel amongst brilliantly coloured corals, go fishing or simply relax in the shade of your tent.
Dolphin talk and dolphin-watching cruise : Hundreds of dolphins live in the waters near Kuda Huraa. Join our marine biologist for a short briefing on this fascinating marine animal, then hop on board a speedboat and cruise into the sunset, watching schools of dolphins swimming around you. This excursion takes about two hours.
Fish Talk with our resident marine biologist : The reef of the Maldivian archipelago represents one of the richest marine ecosystems on earth. If you are interested in learning more about the area's underwater life, the Resort invites you to "Fish Talk," a slide presentation by our resident marine biologist. The presentation takes place five evenings a week in the Library. The following afternoon, enjoy a snorkelling excursion with our marine biologist - a unique way to discover the underwater world of the Maldives.
Jogging : A leisurely jog around the island at dawn or dusk is one of the best ways to view Kuda Huraa's amazing vistas, where the sea meets the sky. Jogging maps are available.
